Pace & Pattern is a system designed to help you clarify your personal vision and integrate your goals into your real life.

It's not about doing more. It's about doing what matters.

This planner takes you from a high-level purpose, through setting meaningful and realistic goals, into mapping out your months, weeks, and days.

This year I am excited to crack open my Pace & Pattern planner. I love it because it isn’t just a basic planner, it’s a method of organizing and inspiring yourself to hone in on, and achieve your goals (and it’s also just plain beautiful to carry around).

The Method

Step 1: Set Vision & Intents

Cast a big picture for where you are right now and where you want to go. Walk through writing a vision statement so you can start the process of deciding what matters most and how you want to spend your precious resources of time and attention.

Step II: Brainstorm & Select Goals

Dump all the possibilities on the table (without judging them too harshly) and explore all the potential options before you add anything new to your life. In many cases the best idea isn’t the first idea, so push yourself to dream about goals that might be out of your comfort zone. You just might pleasantly surprise yourself.

step III: Plan it out

Having a dream is a good thing, but a dreams that never go anywhere end up being disappointments. Mapping out clear plans for achieving your goals is a simple yet powerful way of step in making them happen. Also, remember different types of goals require different approaches to make them actually happen. That’s why we included planning pages to help you form new habits, integrate routines, plan projects and build routines.

Step IV: Design your dream ordinary

This is where you take your goals and take them for an imaginary test drive to see how they fit in your real life. This step will help you develop a rough guide foe how you want most of your weeks to flow and feel. Hint: Use pencil so you can make edits as you go!

Step V: Keep it going

Now the key to making all these goals and dreams actually happen is to integrate them into your month, your week and your day. A beautiful vision statement that is left to gather dust in a drawer somewhere isn’t any good. That’s what the Pace & Pattern planner is all about. It is a tool designed to help you keep your vision in mind and keep your goals going all year long!

Set goals together

If you really want to change your habits and live with purpose, there’s no better way than surrounding yourself with a group of people on the same journey.

Change is hard, and we need all the help we can get. By getting vulnerable, sharing where you are and where you want to be with other people, and having others help you work your goals into your real life, you can see amazing things happen.
